Commonwealth Home Support Programs

At CASS, our Commonwealth Home Support Program provides entry-level support for older people from East Asian backgrounds, including Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Filipino communities, who wish to remain in their own homes and live safely while staying connected through social opportunities. All workers in our service have passed a police criminal record check and are regularly monitored and supervised to ensure a high standard of care. Our team is trained, passionate and dedicated, and they speak your language and understand your cultural needs.

CASS endeavours to provide high quality aged care services to the community.

CASS CHSP services may include:

• Simple housework

• Unaccompanied shopping

• Meal preparation

• Personal hygiene

• Companionship

• Accompanied shopping and doctor’s appointment

• Relieve careers’ stress from their caring roles

Eligibility

Frail aged people 65 or over from East Asian backgrounds, especially Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Filipino speaking seniors
Difficulties in accessing other socialisation opportunities
Family members or carers needing a break from their caring role
Approved by My Aged Care Assessment Team

Fee

A small client contribution may apply for CASS CHSP services, which are supported by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
Discretion may consider for those in financial hardship
