As a not-for-profit, community-based organisation, CASS has provided affordable, high-quality early childhood education and care since 1981.
We operate three Gumnut Early Learning Centres—in Campsie, Hurstville, and St Leonards—as well as a Sydney-wide Family Day Care service.
CASS Gumnut Early Learning Centres cater for children from birth to 5 years old and offer Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) for school-aged children under 12.
CASS Family Day Care operates throughout the Sydney region, offering a home-based environment for children aged 0 to 12 years.
We believe that every child is unique and deserves a place where they can belong, play, and learn safely. Guided by the National Quality Framework and the approved learning frameworks (EYLF v2.0 and MTOP v2.0), we create engaging, play-based programs that nurture each child’s strengths, interests, and wellbeing.

CASS Family Day Care (CFDC)
Long Day Care & Outside School Hours Care
CASS Family Day Care is a community-based scheme run by CASS, a not-for-profit organisation.
We provide quality education and care for children aged 0 to 12 years in a warm, home-like environment where they can play, learn, and grow. With more than 40 years of experience supporting families, our service team has extensive knowledge of early childhood education and care.
Our educators are carefully selected and supported to follow the National Law and National Regulations, guided by the National Quality Framework, ensuring a safe and high-quality environment for every child.
Families using our service are eligible for the Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
We provide:
- A safe, secure, and nurturing home environment
- Educational and preschool programs
- Small group settings (maximum of 4 preschool-aged children)
- Professional bilingual educators across Sydney suburbs
- Flexible hours to support family needs
- Before and after school care, plus vacation care
Our Team
At CASS Family Day Care (CFDC), our dedicated coordination team is made up of qualified and experienced early childhood professionals who are passionate about supporting educators and families. With years of experience across child care centres and family day care settings, our team works closely with educators to ensure the delivery of safe, nurturing and high-quality education and care in a home-based environment.
We provide ongoing training, mentoring and home visits to support educators in creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that reflect each child’s interests and needs. Our team ensures compliance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and National Quality Standards (NQS), maintaining a strong commitment to child safety, professional excellence and continuous improvement across the service.
